Parken Unveils Digital Expansion Strategy for Local, Regional, and International Parking Management

The company “Parkan” has revealed its plans for expansion in parking services and vehicle-related offerings both within the country and beyond in the upcoming period. The organization aims to extend its operations beyond Dubai, gradually reaching other emirates, as well as pursuing regional and international growth, which reflects a long-term strategic vision to establish itself as a key player in the parking management and vehicle services sector.

Parkan’s Chief Operating Officer, Osama Hashim Al-Safi, stated that the company, founded at the beginning of 2024, started with a clear vision focused on comprehensive digital transformation in managing parking services. From day one, it made a strategic decision to develop an integrated digital platform that includes a website and a mobile application, serving as the main interface for all parking services. Al-Safi highlighted that both the website and the app have already been launched, and the company is swiftly working to introduce services in a systematic manner, with monthly updates that address user needs and expectations.

Al-Safi mentioned that Parkan has successfully completed the ecosystem of services previously offered by the relevant authority within a short timeframe. These services are now fully accessible through the company’s website and app, following a franchise agreement with the Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai. He pointed out that this ecosystem includes 18 types of subscriptions, 7 types of permits, and 4 booking options, along with the capability to pay parking fees in Dubai and other emirates.

Regarding the booking system, Al-Safi clarified that the company employs a flexible model that combines both paid and free reservations, in accordance with applicable regulations and the nature of the beneficiary categories. Paid reservations are dedicated to specific groups such as hotels, serviced apartments, and contracting companies, due to their operational needs that require special organization and continuous access to parking. Conversely, free reservations are aimed at citizens in front of their private residences, reflecting a commitment to residential privacy and quality of life.

He also discussed the “International City” experience as a practical model for development, noting that it has introduced innovative packages granting free parking to unit owners. The area faced issues related to the significant number of residential units and limited public parking, leading to continuous congestion and strain on infrastructure. As a solution, Parkan designed a comprehensive operational system that relies on smart integration with both the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority and the Land Department, aimed at verifying official beneficiaries’ registrations and ensuring fair and efficient access to parking.

Looking ahead, Al-Safi indicated that 2025 was exceptional in terms of the challenges faced and the rapid transformations experienced within the sector. He asserted that 2026 will be drastically different, as the upcoming phase will witness noteworthy achievements and pioneering initiatives that will contribute to the development of the parking sector and the enhancement of service efficiency.
