Presight, a global leader in artificial intelligence and big data analytics, announced today that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology in the United Arab Emirates. This initiative aims to foster industrial innovation and empower high-impact startups to accelerate digital transformation within priority economic sectors, particularly in industry and advanced technology. The collaboration aligns with the national strategy for advanced industry and technology (Project 300 billion) and the “Made in the UAE” initiative.
The memorandum was signed during the GITEX Global 2025 event and establishes a strategic long-term framework for cooperation. The focus is on aligning national innovation initiatives, enhancing industrial digitization, supporting the vision of “We are the UAE 2031” towards a diversified and sustainable knowledge economy, and reinforcing the UAE’s status as a global center for the new economy.
Under this agreement, Presight and the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology will work together to develop programs that empower startups. This will include the launch of new accelerator pathways, a global startup exchange program, a project pitch competition under the “Made in the UAE” initiative, and an innovation platform centered on artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.
The collaboration also includes exploring opportunities to create partnerships that facilitate transactions, enhance regulatory frameworks, and provide incentives that enable startups to scale and market solutions to address industrial challenges.
Omar Al Suwaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, emphasized that collaborating with leading national companies like Presight reflects the ministry’s commitment to building a robust industrial innovation ecosystem that allows startups to deliver high-value technological solutions, enhancing the industrial sector’s resilience and attractiveness for investment to support supply chain flexibility and achieve self-sufficiency.
He added that the “Made in the UAE” initiative and the national strategy for advanced industry and technology (Project 300 billion) integrate policies and infrastructure that support industrial growth and competitiveness while empowering national talent, further solidifying the UAE’s position as a competitive regional and international hub in artificial intelligence and advanced manufacturing.
Through this collaboration, startups will gain access to the ministry’s industrial network and Presight’s capabilities in applied intelligence, working jointly on experimental solutions in areas such as energy efficiency, smart manufacturing, supply chain resilience, and sustainable industrial practices, contributing to a more competitive, diversified, and future-ready industrial sector.
Thomas Bramouthidham, CEO of Presight, stated, “Our partnership with the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology enhances our shared mission to advance industries through applied intelligence and entrepreneurial innovation. Together, we will build a connected ecosystem that allows AI companies to thrive by bridging government, academia, and the private sector to develop technologies supporting sustainable industrial progress. With partners like Microsoft, Mohammed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence, and the broader G42 ecosystem, Presight’s AI accelerator will serve as a launchpad for ambitious startup founders to make a tangible impact from the UAE to the world.”
Leveraging the AI accelerator managed by Presight through existing partnerships with Microsoft, Mohammed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence, Intel, and Dell Technologies, this collaboration seeks to increase Emirati innovators’ access to global markets, particularly in the Global South. It will also provide opportunities for mentoring, training, and investment that facilitate commercial transformation and industrial adoption.
As part of the agreement, a dedicated working group will be formed from both Presight and the ministry to coordinate joint projects and ensure alignment with the “Made in the UAE” initiative and the national strategy for advanced industry and technology “Project 300 billion.”
This partnership reflects a shared commitment from both parties to harness advanced technologies to enhance industrial competitiveness, strengthen the ecosystem for national startups, and position the UAE as a global hub for responsible and high-impact innovation in artificial intelligence.
