The Department of Economic Development in Ras Al Khaimah has reported significant growth in digital transactions for the year 2025. The number of electronic transactions reached 27,788, an increase from 26,028 in 2024, marking a growth rate of 6.8%. This upward trend indicates a rapid digital transformation within the emirate and an enhancement of the efficiency of its economic service framework.

According to reports from the department, this increase reflects the success of a comprehensive strategy designed to advance digital services. The initiative aims to empower users to complete their transactions swiftly and effortlessly via electronic channels, thereby improving the experiences of investors and entrepreneurs and increasing institutional performance.

The department confirmed that the complete digital transformation of all its services has been finalized, with 53 services now available online, representing 100% of the total offerings for customers. This transition demonstrates the adoption of an integrated smart services model that aligns with the Ras Al Khaimah Government’s drive towards digital government transformation and the enhancement of economic quality of life.

Furthermore, the department noted that digital transformation has become a key driver of competitiveness in the emirate’s business environment. It simplifies processes, reduces transaction processing times, and allows for 24/7 access to services without the need to visit service centers, thus decreasing operational costs and boosting business efficiency.

This achievement has been made possible through the upgrade of technological infrastructure, the development of electronic systems, and the expansion of smart services, in addition to strengthening digital connectivity with relevant government bodies. This supports the creation of a more flexible economic ecosystem that better meets the needs of investors and entrepreneurs.

In conclusion, the Department of Economic Development reaffirmed its commitment to continuously improve its digital services and adopt the latest technological solutions. This effort aims to enhance the business environment and support Ras Al Khaimah’s objectives of achieving sustainable economic growth driven by innovation, efficiency, and leadership, establishing the emirate as an attractive destination for investment and business in the region.
