The Sharjah Airport has announced its full readiness to accommodate the expected surge in passenger numbers during the winter holiday season. This preparation includes a range of operational measures designed to enhance the flow of movement and improve the quality of services offered. Passengers are advised to arrive three hours prior to their flight.
Travelers departing from Sharjah Airport are encouraged to take advantage of newly developed services, such as city check-in for Air Arabia flyers, allowing them to check in and drop off their luggage before heading to the airport. This enables passengers to proceed directly to the passport control area upon arrival at the airport. Additional services provided include self-check-in procedures, self-service baggage weight stations in the departure area, fast track options, smart gates, and the “Hala” service for assistance. A new feature allows Air Arabia and Flynas travelers to check in from home, streamlining all check-in procedures and ensuring a swift transition to the passport control area at the airport.
Furthermore, Sharjah Airport has inaugurated the new “Hospitality Lounge” located at the main entrance of the departure area. This facility is aimed at providing a higher level of comfort for passengers and addressing their needs. Airport staff have also been fully prepared in various areas to ensure smooth passenger movement, both arriving and departing, and to expedite operations during peak periods.
