His Excellency Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism and Chairman of Investopia, held bilateral meetings with His Excellency Dara Ó Briain, Minister for Climate, Environment, Energy, and Transport of Ireland, and Paul Kelly, Director of Regional Development at the National Tourism Development Authority of Ireland.

These discussions were focused on enhancing economic and tourism cooperation and exploring partnership opportunities in various sectors of mutual interest. The meetings took place alongside the “Investopia – Dublin” dialogues, which gathered a distinguished group of officials, business leaders, and investors from the UAE and Ireland.

In attendance were Mohammed Al Shamsi, UAE Ambassador to Ireland, and Mohammed Al Hawee, Undersecretary of Investment in the UAE.

His Excellency Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri emphasized that the UAE follows an open economic policy aimed at strengthening collaboration with various international partners.

He noted that the meetings contributed to deepening economic and tourism coordination and expanding areas of cooperation among government entities and the business communities in both countries, supporting the growth of joint investments and enhancing air connectivity and tourism exchange.

His Excellency bin Touq stated: “The UAE is keen on establishing effective economic partnerships with Ireland that focus on exchanging expertise and exploring quality investment opportunities in priority sectors, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of the business environment in both nations.”

He explained that Investopia continues to play a pivotal role in connecting markets and facilitating direct dialogue between policymakers and investors, accelerating the transformation of investment opportunities into concrete projects that support national economies.

Specifically, during his meeting with His Excellency Dara Ó Briain, the Minister discussed opportunities to bolster cooperation in sustainable energy, infrastructure, and transportation, as well as exchanging expertise in circular economy practices and supportive policies that accelerate the transition to a green economy, thereby enhancing both nations’ sustainability goals.

Additionally, the meeting with His Excellency Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri and Paul Kelly focused on enhancing tourism collaboration between the two countries.

They exchanged insights on developing tourist destinations and regional tourism growth, particularly in planning tourism routes, building sustainable local tourism brands, mutual promotion, and increasing visitor flow to support the tourism objectives of both countries.
