Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, the Vice President of the UAE Federation of Chambers and President of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, engaged in discussions with Pyaram Pyaramov, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the UAE, regarding strategies to enhance economic and investment cooperation between the United Arab Emirates and Turkmenistan, with the presence of Hamid Mohammed Bin Salem, Secretary-General of the UAE Federation of Chambers.
During their meeting, they reviewed the investment opportunities and potential available in both countries. The possibility of organizing the third session of the UAE-Turkmenistan Business Forum in October in Ashgabat was also discussed, along with plans for the second meeting of the Joint Business Council, aimed at improving the economic partnership between the two nations.
Al Owais emphasized the importance of intensifying bilateral meetings and increasing exchanges between business delegations. This initiative is expected to enhance direct communication between the business communities and stimulate trade relations while expanding areas of joint cooperation. He highlighted the Federation’s commitment to advancing efforts to strengthen bilateral ties with Turkmenistan and other nations worldwide, particularly in economic, trade, and developmental fields.
In response, Pyaramov expressed the desire of Turkmenistan’s business sector, represented by the Turkmenistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, to foster and strengthen trade and investment cooperation with the UAE. He pointed out that the Turkmen Embassy is keen on coordinating and collaborating with the UAE Federation of Chambers and the Sharjah Chamber to enhance mutual economic relations.
Pyaramov encouraged the UAE business community to explore investment opportunities in several promising sectors in Turkmenistan, assuring that his country’s relevant authorities are prepared to provide necessary support and facilitation.
