His Excellency Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, the Minister of Economy and Tourism and Chairman of the General Civil Aviation Authority, met with Marc Bourrel, the Acting Head of the French Civil Aviation Authority, during an official visit to Paris. The meeting, which included Fahd Saeed Mohammed Abdullah Al Qubani, the UAE Ambassador to France, aimed to explore ways to strengthen cooperation and develop strategic partnerships between the two nations in the field of civil aviation and related industries.
During the discussion, His Excellency Abdullah bin Touq emphasized the robust bilateral relations between the UAE and France, noting that collaboration in the civil aviation sector encompasses a broad range of areas, including air transport services, aircraft manufacturing, and various supporting industries.
Both parties agreed on the significance of continued joint efforts and the exploration of new opportunities for collaboration. The conversation also highlighted the importance of enhancing air transport connections between the two countries, which are vital for the growth and prosperity of economic and investment relations, as well as for supporting sectors that benefit from the aviation industry, particularly in terms of tourism exchange.
The relations between the UAE and France continue to grow in the civil aviation sector, with the two countries currently connected by 58 direct weekly flights between their cities. This network reflects the strength of strategic ties and the commitment of both sides to expand avenues of cooperation in aviation and its associated services.
