Emirates Airlines Increases Its Flights to Japan to 28 Weekly Operations

Emirates Airlines has announced the expansion of its operations in Japan by launching a second daily flight to Tokyo Narita Airport starting May 1. This initiative showcases the airline’s commitment to strengthening its network in East Asia while catering to the increasing demand for travel between Japan and various global destinations.

With the introduction of the new flight, Emirates will operate a total of 28 weekly flights to Japan, offering over 22,500 seats each week to and from the country. The service will connect three major destinations: Tokyo Narita, Tokyo Haneda, and Osaka, providing travelers with enhanced flexibility and greater options for planning their journeys.

According to the airline’s flight schedule, the new service will utilize a modern Boeing 777-300ER aircraft featuring four classes of travel in stylishly designed cabins. The aircraft will accommodate 260 seats in economy class, 24 in premium economy, and 40 in business class, arranged in a 1-2-1 configuration. Additionally, there are eight first-class suites available.

Emirates Airlines emphasized that the new daily service will enhance multi-destination travel opportunities, allowing for stopovers in Dubai. It will also improve air connectivity for passengers traveling from Europe and the Middle East to Japan, as well as facilitate onward travel to key destinations in Europe, Africa, and South America.

The travel experience onboard will be complemented by Japanese cuisine options, including kaiseki meals. Passengers will also have access to over 6,500 on-demand entertainment channels through the award-winning ice system, featuring a diverse range of content including movies, series, documentaries, music, and podcasts, along with a selection of Japanese content.

To enhance services for its premium customers, Emirates has expanded its offerings in Japan by providing a chauffeur service for premium class travelers at Narita Airport, with plans to extend this service to Osaka Airport starting March 1.

Emirates has been serving Japan since 2002, currently operating daily flights to Tokyo Narita, Tokyo Haneda, and Osaka, while also offering premium economy on its fleet of Boeing 777 and Airbus A380 aircraft.

The airline also facilitates extensive domestic connections within Japan through partnerships with Japan Airlines (JAL) and All Nippon Airways, providing access to 36 destinations, which include 26 domestic and 10 regional locations. This enables travelers greater flexibility and smoother connecting options both within Japan and internationally.
