Flydubai Selects Starlink as Its In-Flight Connectivity Partner

Flydubai has announced a new partnership with SpaceX to provide Starlink services onboard its expanding fleet of aircraft.

This service will deliver high-speed, low-latency internet capable of supporting live streaming, online gaming, video calls, and more, marking a significant enhancement to the travel experience on its planes.

The announcement was made during the Dubai Airshow 2025, emphasizing Flydubai’s commitment to investing in technologies that redefine modern air travel. Under this agreement, Starlink will become the in-flight connectivity provider for Flydubai’s Boeing 737 fleet, with plans to equip 100 aircraft by 2026.

This collaboration allows Flydubai to offer high-speed connectivity across over 100 destinations, enabling passengers to remain connected, productive, and entertained from takeoff to landing.

By providing the highest speeds and lowest latency currently available in commercial aviation, Starlink promises a seamless broadband internet experience on board. Passengers will be able to enjoy high-definition streaming and instant digital services simultaneously, backed by Starlink’s expanding global capacity. With installation times measured in hours rather than days, Flydubai aims to roll out this service for the majority of its fleet by 2026.

With Starlink services on Flydubai flights, the airline joins a growing list of global carriers adopting next-generation in-flight internet services, distinguishing itself in delivering a world-class experience for both leisure and business travelers.

• The partnership reinforces Flydubai’s commitment to enhancing customer experiences through innovation and collaboration with industry leaders worldwide.

Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of Flydubai, stated, “We take pride in offering our customers the latest Starlink technologies. This agreement marks a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to enhance the travel experience by providing fast and reliable internet across our expanding network. Reliable connectivity has become essential, and our partnership with Starlink enables us to meet the evolving expectations of today’s travelers. As we continue to grow our fleet and network, innovation remains at the core of our strategy.”

Chad Gibbs, Vice President of Business Operations for Starlink at SpaceX, remarked, “We are proud to partner with Flydubai to provide Starlink services across its fleet, delivering connectivity that is comparable to, if not better than, what is available at home. Starlink is committed to offering seamless internet on flights to ensure both passengers and crew have enhanced and memorable experiences during their travels.”

Daniel Karisson, Senior Vice President of Flight Operations at Flydubai, noted, “Fast and free internet is not only a game changer for our customers, but it also equips our crew with real-time data and information for providing exceptional service. Dubai has established itself as an inspiring city for innovation and world-class hospitality, and our partnership with Starlink enhances our ambition to elevate Dubai’s global presence.”
