At the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2026, the German company Sunbrush Cleaning Systems, recognized globally for its solar panel cleaning systems, showcased its latest innovations in solar panel cleaning technology. A key highlight was the Sunbotics photovoltaic cleaning robot, which is entirely manufactured in Germany.
Kim Sibiligi, the regional general manager of Regional Mobile GmbH, stated in an interview with Emirates News Agency that the Sunbotics robot features an adjustable and expandable design, accommodating various sizes of solar panels. It is capable of cleaning inclined surfaces of up to 30 degrees and can operate over cleaning widths between 1.20 meters and 2.50 meters.
Additionally, the Sunbotics robot is designed with modularity in mind, allowing for easy resizing, disassembly, and relocation between buildings. This flexibility makes it an ideal solution for solar panel installations on industrial rooftops, educational institutions, universities, and parking lots equipped with solar panels. It is regarded as an effective and adaptable approach to maintaining solar energy systems, whether on rooftops or at solar farms.
Sibiligi emphasized that the UAE is a leader in fostering innovation and clean energy, appreciating advanced and sustainable solutions. Through the German Sunbotics robot, the goal is to introduce cutting-edge solar panel cleaning technologies that will enhance solar energy projects and boost the efficiency of clean energy production in the country.
