The 56th edition of the Middle East Watch and Jewelry Exhibition, organized by the Sharjah Expo Center with support from the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, successfully concluded yesterday. This year’s event showcased a remarkable Gulf participation featuring both traditional and innovative designs, alongside several prominent gold and jewelry design firms from the Gulf region. The exhibition attracted not only local exhibitors from the UAE but also companies from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, and Oman, as part of its expansion strategy, featuring over 500 local and international exhibitors and 1,800 top global designers.
The exhibition provided an excellent platform for Gulf and international companies to forge deals, establish partnerships, and expand their investments in the local and regional markets. Esteemed gold retailers known for their longstanding presence in the industry eagerly participate each year to showcase their latest products and innovations.
Saif Al Midfa, CEO of the Sharjah Expo Center, highlighted that the significant Gulf presence at the exhibition underscores its important role as a platform that strengthens the UAE’s position as a global hub for gold and precious metals trade. It also showcases the efforts of the new generation of Gulf designers and entrepreneurs, demonstrating their capacity to offer an innovative vision that blends heritage with modernity. This affirms to the world that the allure and value of Gulf gold are deeply rooted in the rich heritage of the designs and the stories handed down from ancestors. Representatives from participating Gulf nations praised the high level of attendance at the exhibition, expressing their commitment to participating twice a year.
