The project financing committee of the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Support Foundation, known as “Ruwad,” has approved funding requests for four new entrepreneurial projects in Sharjah, totaling 670,000 AED. This decision was made during their thirty-seventh meeting, chaired by Hamad Ali Abdullah Al Mahmoud, head of the Sharjah Economic Development Department. As of the end of the third quarter of 2025, the total number of projects that have received financing approvals from the foundation has reached 16, amounting to a total funding value of 3,860,000 AED.
The distribution of these projects by city includes three in Sharjah and one in Kalba. In terms of activity type, there are three projects in the service sector and one in the commercial sector. Among the approved projects, three are owned by Emirati female entrepreneurs, while the fourth belongs to an Emirati male entrepreneur. The meeting also reviewed the remaining funding balance for 2025 and decided to raise the funding cap for the fourth quarter to 1,500,000 AED.
